About Us
GPVet is the first of its kind. Often it is difficult to see a vet on the day you need it. We are here to offer you same day appointments with knowledgeable vets of 25+ years of experience.
We offer owners a place to access all their needs for the primary health care of their pets. Our lives can be hectic and when that pet in your life is unwell it can be very stressful. A consultation at GPVet will allow you to access a high-quality consultation service which focuses on the well being of your pet as well as meeting your specific needs as the carer.
We can be your single point of contact to a wide range of related services and medical support in-house, as well as access to a Veterinary Specialist facility or a Veterinary Hospital when needed. We can arrange the transfer and hand-over of your pet to these services. This makes it easier for owners to get their pets looked after promptly.

Meet the team!
Dr Megan Pitcher - Head Veterinarian
Dr Megan has a Bachelor of Veterinary Science First Class Honours from the University of Queensland and has worked in small animal practice for over 25 years in both Australia and the United Kingdom.
Dr Megan has an Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Association from the University of Queensland where she has taught in both the Veterinary and Medical faculties since 2006. Outside of work, Megan likes to care for her two border collies - Mollie and Albert.
Dr Shauna Quinn - Veterinarian
Dr Shauna provides care across both dental and general veterinary services, with a strong focus on animal wellbeing. She holds a Bachelor of Veterinary Science with Honours as well as a Bachelor of Music, combining strong clinical knowledge with a creative perspective. Shauna is known for her gentle, patient approach and enjoys supporting animals on their journey to better health. Outside the clinic, she loves pottery and spending time with her border collie, Reggie, and her cat, Bottles.
Amanda - Head Groomer
With 15 years of hands-on grooming experience, Amanda brings expertise, precision and a deep love for animals to every appointment. Over the years, she has mastered a wide range of grooming techniques, from breed-specific trims to creative styling, ensuring each pet not only looks and feels their best but feels comfortable and cared for. Known for her calm, gentle approach, Amanda has built a loyal client base who trust her with even the most anxious pets. Whether its a routine tidy-up or a show-quality groom, Amanda combines skill, patience, and an eye for detail to deliver exception results - every time.
We have several grooming assistants that Amanda enjoys training and sharing her wealth of knowledge with.
